What you’ll notice when you walk in
A waiting room that doesn’t look like a hospital. Plants, warm wood, natural light. Reception knows you’re coming — they greet you by name.
Kids’ areas are quiet and un-overwhelming — no bright plastic Kids’ Zone, no cartoons on a loop. A small basket of things to touch and read for anyone waiting with a nervous child.
Treatment rooms are private, quiet, and set up for the discipline. Physio has a plinth. OT has floor space and sensory materials. Speech and psychology have soft chairs, water, tissues, and doors that close.
For older adults: a chair with arms you can push up from. For neurodivergent clients: sensory alternatives on request — dimmable lights, weighted throws, quiet-corner options.
